World Seniors Snooker (WSS) is pleased to announce an increase in the prize fund for the 2026/27 Super Seniors.

The popular one-day events are staged alongside the World Seniors Tour events through the season – taking place on the Sunday and being open to all cueists aged 55 and over.

Following a record entry figure of 29 players for the first event of the new season this weekend, WSS is pleased to announce an increase to the prize fund with money now on offer from the quarter-finals stage. The winner’s share has seen an increase of 150% from £100 to £250.

  • Winner: £250
  • Runner-Up: £100
  • Semi-Finalists: £50
  • Quarter-Finalists: £25
  • High Break: £50

Jason Francis, Chairman of WSS, said: “The Super Seniors event have developed their own community of players who still love competing. It is clear that, if the interest continues to grow, then we may need to consider staging separate weekends with expanded match lengths. They play the events in such a friendly manner but don’t let that fool you – everybody wants to win!”

The first Super Seniors event takes place on Sunday 16 August and entry for the remaining eight events is open now via WPBSA SnookerScores.
