Matthew Stevens and Ali Carter will compete in the 2027 UK Seniors Snooker Championship at St George’s Hall in Liverpool.
Stevens is a former UK Championship and Masters winner while six-time ranking event champion Carter returns to the World Seniors Snooker Tour following his debut at the World Seniors Championship in May.

The two former World Championship finalists will join defending champion Peter Lines, Jimmy White, Ken Doherty, Stuart Bingham, Joe Perry, Robert Milkins and Anthony Hamilton as the prestigious event returns to the calendar for the first time since 2022.
Two further invitations will be announced in due course while the final place in the 12-player will be decided through an open qualifying event for amateur and professional players aged over 40 which will take place from 6–9 January 2027 at the Crucible Club, Reading.

“Stevens is a two-time Triple Crown winner, while Carter has claimed six ranking titles. Both have also reached the World Professional Championship final on two occasions. After decades at the top of the sport, they’ll now be looking to add UK Seniors Championship title to their already impressive CVs.”
