World Seniors Snooker (WSS) is delighted to announce the return of the UK Seniors Snooker Championship on 19-21 February 2027 at the iconic St George’s Hall in Liverpool.
Returning to the calendar for the first time since 2022, the prestigious event will feature a star-studded 12-player field who will compete across six sessions.
Defending champion Peter Lines, who claimed the title at the previous staging in 2022, will headline an initial list of seven confirmed players.
Joining him are four-time World Seniors champion Jimmy White, 1997 world champion Ken Doherty, 2015 world champion Stuart Bingham, reigning British Seniors Open champion Joe Perry, Robert Milkins and Anthony Hamilton.

Four further invitations will be announced in the coming months. The final place will be decided through an open qualifying event for amateur and professional players aged over 40 which will take place from 6–9 January 2027 at the Crucible Club, Reading.
Jason Francis, WSS Chairman, said: “St George’s Hall is a fantastic venue and the commercial success of the recent World Seniors Snooker Championship has enabled us to finally bring the UK Seniors Championship back as part of our 2026/27 season. Liverpool is such a great city with incredibly passionate sporting fans. We’re excited to bring this event to the city and we will add even more big snooker names to what is already shaping up to be a great field.”
The championship will be played under the exciting ‘Snooker 900’ format, where each frame is limited to a maximum of 900 seconds and players compete with a 20-second shot clock – delivering fast-paced, high-intensity snooker. A total prize fund of £38,000 will be on offer, with the champion receiving £15,000.
Ticket information and broadcast details will be announced in due course.
