The 2026 World Seniors Snooker Championship received record viewing figures last month as Ronnie O’Sullivan won the title at the Crucible Theatre.
Staged at the iconic venue in Sheffield, the World Seniors Snooker (WSS) Tour’s flagship event broke records for both live attendance and TV viewing figures as the event was broadcast live on Channel 5 and Pluto TV.

A total of 5.6 million viewers watched as the event was shown on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom for a third year, while a further 3.1 million tuned in from China on Huya TV.
Seven-time World Professional champion O’Sullivan made his WSS debut as the sport’s most famous arena and defeated Ken Doherty, Peter Lines, Robert Milkins and finally Joe Perry in front of a sellout crowd to win the World Seniors Championship crown for the first time.

Jason Francis, Chairman of WSS, said: “The recent World Seniors Championship broke so many records! We are really looking forward to building on the great start we had in Derby for the British Open when we return in December.”
