Three-time world champion Mark Williams has been announced as one of the remaining invitations for the 2026 World Seniors Snooker Championship.

‘The Welsh Potting Machine’, who won the World Seniors title in 2015, returns to the event for the first time in a decade following the removal of restrictions allowing top ranked players to be eligible to play in the flagship event.

Williams has also announced that any prize money he earns at the championship will automatically be donated to the Hospice of the Valleys, who enable people living with life-limiting conditions to live and die well, while supporting those who matter most the them. The hospital is based in Ebbw Vale, near Williams’ home.

Jason Francis, WSS Chairman, said: “It is brilliant to welcome Mark Williams back to the World Seniors Snooker Championship and what a fantastic gesture from Mark to donate any prize money he wins to his local hospital. With our strongest ever field already announced, the addition of Mark adds even more quality with every ball of the 24-player event being shown on Channel 5.”

Williams will begin his campaign for a second World Seniors Championship title on the afternoon of Friday 8 May with tickets now available here.
