Bio
Peter Lines first turned professional back in 1991 and has since achieved a career-high ranking of 42, reaching his maiden ranking event semi-final at the 2018 Paul Hunter Classic in Germany.
The Yorkshireman also notably defeated John Higgins on his way to the quarter-finals of the China Open in 1999 and a decade later reached the same stage of the UK Championship, claiming the scalps of Marco Fu and Mark Williams before losing out to former champion Stephen Maguire.
Having been relegated from the main tour at the end of the 2015/16 season, Lines subsequently claimed the World Seniors Championship title in 2017, before returning to the professional circuit following the EBSA Play-offs later that year.
He currently competes on the main tour alongside his son Oliver, both players based at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.
In 1996 Lines reached the final of the English Amateur Championship (l. Stuart Bingham) and in 1998 qualified for the televised stages of the World Championship for the first time (l. John Parrott).
